Flourish Tutoring offers bespoke 1:1 tuition and small group workshops. All 1:1 sessions are designed to address priorities which have been discussed and established in the initial session. Small group workshops have a specific focus and offer an opportunity for learning in a welcoming and nurturing environment. All sessions are fun and interactive with the key aim of giving participants enjoyment and confidence through learning.
Primary Literacy
Does your child struggle to read? Do they find it difficult to generate ideas for writing? Is their spelling a cause for concern?
Participants will be introduced to a range of prompts and approaches designed to support progress in reading, writing and/or spelling. After identifying which strategies they like best, practice and mastery will allow them to grow in confidence and know that they are producing their best work.
Primary Numeracy
Is your child finding numeracy and mathematics difficult? Does your child lack number-sense? Does your child lack confidence with numbers?
Whether it is a focus on fractions, telling the time, working with money or establishing confidence in the key skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, sessions are all aimed at helping the young person develop numerical and mathematical confidence.
Secondary Study Skills
How can I focus? When I’m asked to revise, what should I do? How do I know what to include in an essay? How can I plan an essay effectively?
Our Study Skills course is a block of eight sessions designed to support high school students with focus, note-taking, essay writing, generating and then translating their ideas into words.

Dyslexia Support
Does your child have a diagnosis of dyslexia? Is your child being screened for dyslexia? Do you wonder whether your child is dyslexic?
Flourish Tutoring offers sessions which help those with dyslexia (or being screened for dyslexia), to identify how they learn best and assist in the development of skills which will support them in their main learning environment. Dyslexic learners often have many untapped strengths, and these sessions hope to uncover these and allow them to flourish.
Workshops
Every month, Flourish Tutoring offers small group workshops designed for people of similar ages to meet and learn together. Each workshop has a specific focus.
